Staged by the Great Hearts Institute, the National Symposium for Classical Education is an annual “big tent” event, with over 900 classical educators, scholars, and think tankers attending in 2026. The three-day Symposium offers an edifying program of keynote lectures, scholarly talks, panel discussions, and pedagogy and curriculum workshops.

National Symposium invites the classical education community from across America to join us at National Symposium in Arizona each year. We welcome all who are interested in deepening their understanding of the classical, liberal arts, and dedicated to providing excellence in K-12 education in the United States, and around the world, to attend. Our chief goal is to host a conversation at Symposium that focuses on providing the best classroom education available through the discussion of the classical ideas that inspire us, and the pedagogy, curriculum, school leadership, and educational accessibility that inform the best teaching practices at every grade level.

A light hors d’oeuvre reception will take place on the first evening after the opening keynote speaker.
Morning pastries will be offered on the second and third day after the keynote addresses, along with afternoon snacks.
Lunch will be provided on the second day for those who opt in on the registration form.
Coffee and tea will be available throughout the Symposium each day.

We are advising all attendees to download the Classical Education Symposium app on a smartphone. Once the program is released, you will be able to sign up for Symposium sessions and receive correspondence from the Great Hearts Institute Symposium organizers through the app. You will only need access to the internet, which is provided on site at Symposium.

The platform is compatible with any mobile device or computer, and browser.

Once you download the app and once the program is up, you should be able to go in to sign up for sessions and create a personalized attendance schedule. If you have any trouble, you can contact us at Symposium@greathearts.institute and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Please email a written notification to Symposium@greathearts.institute on any substitutions or cancellations so that we can work with you on it. Substitutions are acceptable. Our cancellation/refund policy is as follow:

If notified by January 4, 2027: Refund 100% minus $25 administrative fee
If notified between January 5-19, 2027: Refund 75%
If notified between January 20-February 7, 2027: Refund 50%
February 8, 2027, and later: No Refunds

We will livestream some Symposium content, but on a limited basis. Registration for the online Symposium will be promoted when we approach closer to the event dates.
