Founding Director, Sundial Classical Farmstead

Sarah Kwilinski

Sarah Kwilinski’s career in education spans 25 years as a special education teacher, professional development consultant, and now, as the Founding Director of Sundial Classical Farmstead, a school designed from the ground up to serve all types of learners.

Sarah brought her experience designing special education programs at the local and Intermediate school levels to Sundial. She crafted systems that incorporate therapeutic benefit into all practices so that students with disabilities are seamlessly incorporated into every aspect of the program while still receiving the same degree of intervention that would typically be provided outside the general education classroom. Sarah’s aspirations for Sundial include developing a full Arts & Trades program at the Upper School level (hence the Farmstead component) that provides meaningful, practical experience for both college-bound and vocational students. In the meantime, its Lower School students benefit from Charlotte Mason pedagogical methods while living out their motto to pursue Schola Natura – contemplative, restful learning in a natural setting. Sarah is currently completing her Master of Arts in Classical Teaching at Templeton Honors College. She lives in Michigan with her husband and five children.
