David Loar
David Loar has been a professional actor for thirty years, specializing in Shakespeare, and a MS/HS Theatre teacher for thirteen years.
From 2001 to 2008, David was a member of the Blackfriars Resident Troupe of the American Shakespeare Center, performing over seventy roles, including Shylock, Prospero, Claudius, Cassius, and Lord Capulet. He toured the US for a total of six years with the National Shakespeare Company, Chamber Repertory Theatre, and Shenandoah Shakespeare. He is currently a member of the Acting Ensemble at Charleston (SC) Stage Company. David received his actor training at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NY) and the National Shakespeare Conservatory.
